A.P.J Abdul Kalam 

 A.P.J. Abdul Kalam was a great scientist and the 11th President of India. He is famous as the Missile Man of India and the People's President. He was born on October 15, 1931, in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu, and passed away on July 27, 2015, in Shillong. 

Early life and career

Birth: October 15, 1931, in a poor Tamil Muslim family in Rameswaram.

Family: His father, Jainulabdeen, owned boats, and his mother, Ashiamma, was a housewife.

Struggle: He sold newspapers as a young boy to help his family and pay for school.

Studies: He studied physics at St. Joseph's College, Tiruchirappalli, and earned a degree in aeronautical engineering from the Madras Institute of Technology in 1960. 

DRDO and ISRO: He joined the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) in 1958 and moved to the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in 1969. 

SLV-III: He was the project director for India's first satellite launch vehicle (SLV-III), which successfully put the Rohini satellite into orbit in July 1980. 

Missile Programs: He helped build important defense missiles like Agni and Prithivi

Nuclear Tests: He played a major role in the Pokhran-II nuclear tests in 1998, making India a nuclear power. 

Presidency and Later Life

President of India: He served as the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007 with the support of political parties and the love of citizens.

Awards: He received India's highest civilian honor, the Bharat Ratna, in 1997, along with the Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan.

Books: He wrote inspiring books, including his autobiography Wings of Fire and India 2020.

Death: He died doing what he loved most—teaching—while giving a lecture at IIM Shillong on July 27, 2015.
